About Bellary Airport 

Bellary Airport serves the city of Bellary in Karnataka. The airport was built during British rule. After independence, it was converted into a domestic public airport. At the time, only Air India operated flights connecting the city to Goa and Bangalore.

About Bellary

The Ballari Fort is located on the top of a hill called Ballari Guddal. People believe this fort was created during the Vijayanagara dynasty and was built by Hanumappa Nayaka, the Palegar chief at the time.
