About Bellary Airport 

Bellary Airport serves the city of Bellary in Karnataka. The airport was built during British rule. After independence, it was converted into a domestic public airport. At the time, only Air India operated flights connecting the city to Goa and Bangalore.

Bellary Fort

The Ballari Fort is located on the top of a hill called Ballari Guddal. People believe this fort was created during the Vijayanagara dynasty and was built by Hanumappa Nayaka, the Palegar chief at the time. Hyder Ali defeated the Nayakas, took over the fort in 1769, and hired a French engineer to rebuild it.
