About Tezpur Airport

Tezpur Airport (IATA code: TEZ) is also referred to as Salonibari Airport, after the place in which it is situated. It is spread across an area of 22 acres. The British Royal Indian Air Force built Tezpur Airport during World War II, and the United States utilised the airport as a heavy bomber station.

The domestic terminal can accommodate around 400 people at a time, and has two check-in counters, one security counter, and one gate for boarding passengers. For the convenience of passengers, the airport has several facilities such as baggage trolleys, restaurants, food counters, and shops to purchase various items, including handicrafts.
