International Transit Passengers

As per the recent directives from the Government of Maharashtra, all passengers who have visited any of the 'high risk' countries (South Africa, Botswana & Zimbabwe) in the past 15 days, are required to undergo seven days of institutional quarantine on arrival at Mumbai. Passengers arriving from these countries are required to mandatorily undergo an RT-PCR test on arrival at the airport, with a second RT-PCR test to be carried out on the 7th day.

Passengers arriving from 'at risk' countries (Europe, United Kingdom, Brazil, China, Ghana, Mauritius, New Zealand, Tanzania, Hong Kong & Israel) need to undergo an RT-PCR test on arrival. These travellers will have to wait until the test result is declared before exiting the airport or taking a connecting flight. Passengers with negative test results will need to undergo seven days of home quarantine. Please note that these guidelines will also be applicable to passengers transiting via countries at risk.

Further, passengers arriving from countries other than at risk will be allowed to leave the airport and shall self-monitor their health for 14 days after their arrival. Additionally, 2% of the total flight passengers shall undergo random testing on arrival at the airport, and the traveller shall bear the cost of the test.

Please note that all international arrival passengers need to upload a negative RT-PCR test report at this link. The test should have been conducted within 72 hours of undertaking the journey.
