About Bhuj

Bhuj is a prominent tourist destination in Gujarat. Bhuj is the administrative seat of India's largest district- the Kutch District. It is famous for handicrafts of the Kutch region, such as embroidery, bandhani (tie-dye), and leatherwork. Artists from nearby villages sell their work in the 'Bhuj Haat,' which is located near Jubilee Ground.


Bhuj is situated at an average elevation of 360 ft. On the city's eastern side, a hill named Bhujia Hill, on which there is a Bhujia Fort, divides Bhuj city and Madhapar town (one of Asia's richest towns). It has two lakes, Hamirsar and Deshadsar.


The city was founded in 1510 by Rao Hamirji. Located near the Rann of Kutch, Bhuj has become a famous tourist centre. Bhuj is also famous for its unique food, which includes chikki, pakwans, Kutchi dabeli (a vegetable burger made with mashed potatoes and eaten with masala curries and chutneys), and Gujarati sweets.

About Jamnagar

Jamnagar, founded as the capital of the princely state of Nawanagar, is a coastal town in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna’s kingdom was at Dwarka which is located in the Jamnagar district. The Jams of Nawanagar claim their genealogy to the Yadava race. The climate in Jamnagar is hot and semi-arid. The "hot" season, which lasts from March to May, is extremely hot and humid. It is followed by the "wet" season, which has extremely irregular rainfall that averages around 630 millimetres (25 in).
