About Bagdogra Airport

Bagdogra International Airport (IATA: IXB) is a civil enclave-type airport operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). It was given the status of a customs airport in 2002, with a limited number of international flight operations. Bagdogra International Airport is the 17th busiest airport in India. It is one of the few airports in India with zero sales tax on aviation turbine fuel.

Currently, the airport has one terminal for both departure and arrival. It has two boarding gates and five X-ray luggage counters. The airport has basic facilities like cafes, duty-free shops, taxi rental service, ATM, toilets, drinking water etc. An additional 14.5 acres were handed to the Ministry of Civil Aviation for developing infrastructure to support night landing.

A new terminal is being constructed at Bagdogra Airport and is expected to be completed by 2024. Bagdogra airport is well connected to the city centre by taxis, private cabs, buses, and autorickshaws.

Madurai International Airport is a passenger and customs airport established in 1957. The airport handles over 1,25,000 passengers per month on average and is well connected to major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore etc. It also has direct flights to international destinations like Singapore, Dubai, and Colombo.

Madurai Airport has several facilities for the convenience of the passengers.
