Ananya Hotel

I had a very bad experience in this hotel. First, we paid 50 percent in advance for booking which is quite normal, but while checking in they forced us to pay upfront for the remaining rent. This is the first time in my life that I paid full rent before checking out. The front desk staff were quite rude and simply told us that if you don't pay up now your advance will be forfeited. The second thing was simply shocking. We were not eating in the hotel as i have few favourite eating joints nearby. On 27th January, Saturday, we came back to the hotel after having dinner, we had quite a few bags with us as we did some shopping. The security reached my friend's wife and asked her to open all the bags as he suspected that we were carrying food items inside. Just imagine the audacious nature of the staff. He could have asked us but he decided to go for the lady alone and tried to harass her. When i started shouting he backed off but said he has every right to search the bags as he thought we were smuggling food inside. How rude of him. I request everyone to steer clear of this hotel. The hotel should keep in mind that they belong to the service industry which is bound by some decorum. They can't just print out a contract favouring their own decisions. One more thing, if you are planning to take kids along with you, don't stay here because for kids you are always carrying a few bars of chocolates, few packets of chips, and a few slices of cakes with you. What if they find out those and try to blame you for smuggling outside food into the hotel. Better be safe than sorry.
