Located near the main road and a shop which sells almost all items.There is also a nearby restaurant and an authentic message centre. Early morning you hear bird whistling &chirping.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights and we loved it! A wonderful Homestay in a very beautiful part of Munnar, quiet and peaceful with lovely views. The room and bathroom was excellent - very clean, comfortable bed and lots of hot water. The homecooked food here is superb - very very tasty, the best food we have eaten!! The hosts are so friendly and very welcoming. They were very helpful in organising a jeep tour we did and taking us to see Kathakali and Kalaripayattu performances nearby which was very good. We had the best time staying here and would highly recommend! A big THANK YOU, we loved it and hope to come back and visit soon!

I had a lovely stay at Athens Cottage. My room was very clean with lovely views onto the garden. Both Kuriakos and Delsi were very welcoming and cheerful hosts which made me feel like at home. Delsi is a superb cook, creating mouth watering dishes from their home grown organic vegetables. A heaven for a veggie! The place is a few kms away from Munnar but it's actually a bonus and a great opportunity to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Indian towns and cities. One can easily get to Munnar by public transport or rickshaw if so is required. The only criticism that I have is that the pricing isn't transparent. I didn't know I was being charged for dinner and how much I was being charged until the checkout. Also, more recommendations of local sights and activities would have been welcome. Overall a great stay that could have been just perfect if it hadn't been for the 'miscommunication'.

We stayed in this cottage for 2 days, it is located 10Km before the Munnar town. The cottage is just 1.5Km from Anachal bustop, host came to the bus stop to pick us. The room is very clean and neat with 24Hrs hot water and wifi facility. It is a very peaceful environment surrounded by the garden owned by hosts. Hosts are very friendly and helpful, you will feel that you visited to your friend's home on a holiday trip. He guided us to some places to visit and taken us to spice garden, chocolate factory, elephant safari and also Kalari fight show. You will have a frequent buses from Anachal to Munnar. If you are a foodie and wanted to taste the real Kerala dishes, I strongly recommend you to stay here and tell them prior if you want some dish. We really loved the Kerala dishes chicken curry, appam, fish curry and also some vegetable curries. They charged very less amount for the food. We loved staying here.

I initially had a booking at another hotel who refused to entertain it(citing that they were not associated with the website we had booked from). Started looking for other well rated properties nearby and came across this place. Called Mr Kuriakos, who mentioned that a room was available and that I could come down and then book it. This is a private house, where the owners host a BnB. This is about 10 kms away from Munnar town, and is about 500 mtrs off the main road. The road to this place did not look promising, but that's about the only thing bad about it. They are located completely amid greenery, and one can hear the night birds and insects at night. Lovely for stargazing as well. For 3 days, Mr Kuriakos and Mrs Delcy hosted us with love; I felt more at home that I do at my own house ;-) I didn't have to worry about anything; starting from awesomely soft appams for breakfast to lunch and dinner; even a barbecue that we (the guests) demanded, nothing was short of a miracle. Mrs Delcy is a miracle! She can cook up stuff at a very short notice! We were given options to visit the spice garden, elephant camp, Kalari Kshetra and Mr Kuriahos ferried us around like a cabbie! We even went for a complete day trip with him and split costs with other guests. It cost me around 4K everything included (accommodation, 3 meals daily, travel, etc) for 3 days here. The hosts even gave away mangoes and jackfruit from their garden! Enjoyed my time with both of the hosts and would love to be back here! Thanks! PS: Because of his relaxed booking policies, many folks make a reservation and then do not turn up, cancelling their bookings at 6PM. This is off the road, but the hosts do pickup and drop us off in their car. For folks who want to hear the traffic all night and those looking to stay at the heart of old Munnar town, please stay away, but do nor slander the hosts unnecessarily.
