I recently stayed at the Bellevue Sarovar Portico in Junagarh with my family, and while the property itself was commendable, I feel compelled to share a disheartening incident that marred our overall experience. Accommodation and Amenities: The star property lived up to its reputation with well-maintained facilities, and we particularly enjoyed the excellent quality of the food during our stay. The rooms were comfortable, adding to the overall positive impression of the property. Service and Housekeeping Concerns: Regrettably, our experience took a downturn during the checkout process. We were detained for over an hour, primarily due to a misunderstanding with the housekeeping staff regarding the minibar. Despite the fridge being empty upon check-in, we were blamed for consuming drinks. The situation was handled unprofessionally, with repetitive statements about the frequency of check-ins and checkouts, creating an unnecessary sense of embarrassment. Resolution: After much discussion, we were allowed to checkout by paying only for the consumed pack of biscuits. While a resolution was reached, the overall experience was far from satisfactory, and the manner in which the situation was handled left us feeling disheartened. Financial Contributions: I would like to highlight that we left a generous tip of almost Rs. 200 for the staff during our stay. Additionally, our dinner order amounted to Rs. 3600, with half of it left uneaten. Despite these contributions, the treatment received during the checkout process overshadowed the positive aspects of our visit. Recommendations: It is essential for the staff to consider the background of customers before making accusations, as this can lead to unnecessary embarrassment and inconvenience. Professionalism and empathy should be integral to the training of the housekeeping staff, ensuring that incidents like ours are handled more efficiently and respectfully. Conclusion: While the Bellevue Sarovar Portico has much to offer in terms of amenities and dining, improvements in staff training and customer handling are crucial for ensuring a consistently positive experience for all guests. Excellent food, vibes and service. Everyone from the staff to the chefs were super friendly and took great care in making our dinner special. Chef Naresh was super welcoming and came to meet us at our table to ensure everything was up to the standard.
