Deshadan Backwater Resort

My family and I went with high expectations since we had heard a lot about this resort and is well known. We booked two rooms with the plunge pool, totally coming up to 21K. One of the rooms' plunge pool barely had any water. On the other hand, the curtains in both room stank of sweat, chlorine and old waste. It was honestly disgusting. They came to the room with room freshner, so that means they know the room stinks. We had breakfast before checkout and that was not good too. The room is kind of dirty. We opted for the spa option, and it was so unhygienic. They use the same towel for all the customers. How is that even allowed? We didn't feel comfortable at all, and honestly feel scammed. Wish they did better. Feels like a total scam.

Spent a night at this resort with family recently. The positives: Breathtaking view of backwater in the early morning. Wake up at 6 and experience the sun rising over backwater. Absolutely mesmerising. Need improvements: The approach road is too narrow and it is almost impossible to reach the venue at night. No lights on street. Even the resort is poorly lit. It was difficult navigating and felt like a haunted house at night. Room furniture is age old and cracking. AC was leaking water. And worst… at the midnight the inner parts started cranking with loud sound. It is not maintained well. The pond inside is a gutter with dirty water and mosquitoes. Food was terrible. An experience I would like to forget.
