We stayed here for 1 day, on 16th-17th Nov. '23. Unfortunately in rush of check out, we forgot to take out valuables kept in room's locker and later when we realised and called the hotel about it. They straight away went into denial and rather asked us that why are we calling this late. For a hotel that holds a high reputation, this act is highly questionable and for sure there is theft done by one of the hotel staff and it could be very much said that they are not at all looking into it. I doubt even if they are doing an investigation internally. As a customer you stay at a reputed hotel like this with an assurance of safety of self and valuables but this act of staff followed by denial of it by hotel management is highly unprofessional and unethical. Thank you Mr.Manish for finally responding after two months and coming to the conclusion that we lost the jewelry during travel. Couple of questions and things that I would like to point out here- 1. Our last stop was your hotel. So we left your hotel, in a personal vehicle and went back to our own home in Bhopal. So no, our jewelry was not lost during travel. 2. Your management keeps stressing on the point that we informed you the next day, so if a guest does not call about their belongings the same day, it means they will never get it back? 3. The jewelry was placed in the locker of the room and we can vouch for it that we left it there (we forgot to take it in a rush of things). So what is your procedure/protocol when it comes to locked lockers in room's after the guest leaves? Does your staff just unlock it or do you follow the procedure of unlocking the locker in the guest's presence by calling them back? The reason I ask is because this is a query which we, our family and friends had since sayaji was a preferred stay for us when visiting,but we have clearly lost all trust. Please answer this question, as it will make things clear for us & for anyone booking their stay with you. Also adding, We never received a call about the locker being locked after we left. So it is important that we understand how the locker was opened. Thanks and Regards.
