FabExpress Gross Plaza

I have booked this hotel for 3 nights through agoda this hotel has been shady in the first place. We reached the street where the hotel is located and there were no lights and had hard time locating it, when we reached the hotel we waited for around 5 mins the receptionist reached us and took the confirmation later sent a room boy who unlocked the gate and let us in. Waited in the lobby for 5 more mins, the receptionist again took the confirmation from his owner and took our IDs still the lights were off. The receptionist told us 3 different reasons for being shady- 1) He told there is no power. 2) He told us that he was saving power from the inverter. 3) He switched off lights to avoid couples visiting the hotel given the new year (which made no sense). I was scared to death and asked the room boy quietly he revealed us that the hotel had no licence, after knowing this I knocked our neighbours room they said they have checked in day before and were locked since morning, they also noticed police checking the hotel and rooms. I had no other thoughts and planned to check out I contacted agoda customer to shift us as we were new to the city, this whole issue was escalated to the owner of hotel and she connected with us through call and asked us to wait for 5 mins to shift us to some other property which they have failed. After waiting for 45 mins they told they don’t have room available to accommodate us. I left the hotel and explained that I felt unsafe. If you are someone like me checking hotels nearby airports avoid this please. I will pay extra money and challenge the owner if they do not agree for the allegations that I have made.

We stayed at Gross Plaza for a night for a stopover from an international flight to a local flight. The place was budget friendly, clean and the service was great. The manager Aman was very courteous and helpful. Will stay again.
