We have stayed in Pine Spring Resorts for two nights, location is a 5 ⭐ The road leads to the place is bad but it's just a small stretch. The staff were welcoming and check in was quick. We have been shown two rooms and selected one. The views from our room was not great. May be the front facing rooms would have been better. There were some parts they didn't do well, we weren't served welcome drink as mentioned in the site, the food was okayish, their rice was too hard (we tried both the nights), check out was 11 am which never mentioned to us before, not in the booking site also. Staff were not able (or so not wanted) to help get us local cabs or pony ride, we expected that since usually hotels do that. Overall you can stay here for their location, for which there are some similar hotels at same place.

Actually this hotel doesn't exist now. It's been taken over by the aarco group and the name of the new place is aarco hotel and resorts , sonmarg. BTW , it's a fantastic place. I have written a detailed review and posted picture of property in new Google page.

I had the time of my life at Hotel Pine Spring! The Employees- Mr. Javed, Mr. Imtiaz and another man named Javed made my stay extremely warm and comfortable! One of them even got me freshly picked walnuts, along with a hammer and said- have this, I’ll clean up the mess later! They showed me the true spirit of Kashmir and Kashmiris. The hotel view is unbeatable and the employees are a cherry on top. They even accommodated our jain food requests and their smiles never left their faces! We had the opportunity of meeting the owner of the hotel and he was another warm man! Greeted us with a smile, spoke for a while and heard us patiently. Do not miss their Kahwa and chinese food. If I ever get a chance to visit Kashmir again, I’m gonna go back to Pine spring, Sonmarg. This place and these people will always remain close to my heart!
