I stayed here for one night in Dec 2023. At a time when most hotels were full, the receptionist here was not just polite but also very helpful. Overall the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and at the end there was no demand for tips which I liked. Location is very good, central and has a lake view. However the lake is overgrown and dirty so sadly the view is marred. The building is old and infrastracture is understandably worn out. However the bathrooms are clean as are the rooms. There is a strong smell of food everywhere. The restaurant is bright and airy and the food was tasty. However service at the restaurant was poorly managed, with only three waiters doing everything and being understandably hassled. Overall I would go back here if I had work in Purulia town. If you are visiting for a holiday, the resorts on Ayodha hilltop may be a better option as those spots are quite from from town. I also booked a dormitory bed for my driver at Rs 300/- and have been informed by him that it was quite bad. Dirty overflowing dustbins, unwashed bedsheets and no power points were some of his concerns. He showed me photos to support this. Management should take note because drivers are also in need of good rest given the long drive to and from Kolkata and because they too are human.

Rooms are very good with modern facilities including mini refrigerator. The only thing that needs urgent attention is cleanliness of washrooms. It is situated in prime location at Saheb bandh having easy accessibility by roads. Presence of offices like Zilla Parishad, Municipality offices making it an instant choice for night stay during official visit. The otions of breakfast items needs improvement in terms of quality and variety.

very bad experience. dirty water came from bathroom tap. room also smell bad. several time informed to the staff but they didn't do anything. very rude behaviour of staff after told them about dirty water. they don't provide suppliment water for hand wash or mouth wash. pathetic experience. they charged compartive higher tariff, after that we experienced this pathetic situation. my suggestion to all tourist, don't go this hotel.

I went to the restaurant of akash sarovar for dinner. The food is good, you will get value for money but the service provided is pathetic. At first when we entered we were not been attended, neither we were shown a place to sit ... After calling the waiter we had to wait for him to come and assist us... The waiter's there will over look you and keep doing there buisness. Food is good Service need improvisation
