I have stayed at hotel Ambadi several times. Their rooms are big and very clean. The best location in Thekkady. Walking distance from the park. Restaurant is not fancy but food is tasty and prices are good. Enough parking space. They can book safaris for you at the reception. Place can be full during holidays. But the way manage it doesn’t seem crowded. They have some duplex. Can be good for the family or groups. Highly recommended hotel in Thekkady.

Very nice rooms having old oak wood architecture.. Nice staff but service is bit poor.. You have to go to reception personally if you want anything as they don't have intercom facility.. However you will enjoy staying as you would feel as if you are staying in Woods.. Food is nice and bit costly as compared to other restaurants..

Excellent ambience and food. Great hospitality. They serve the best pork in town. Please try out the grilled pork with boiled veggies and mashed potatoes...it's awesome! The chappathies are without oil and yet very soft. Fried rice is authentic and so is the chilly chicken. They go that extra mile to make sure their guests feel special. The staff are well trained and courteous. It's the oldest resort in Thekkadi and the one and only resort built by the great Laurie Baker! The architecture is simply fabulous 👌🏾. Real value for money.
