The hotel is decent. But it doesn't have a restaurant. You have to walk 30 meters for a restaurant. But restaurants are not expensive but not hygienic either. Hotel manager also is not quite professional. You need to request for room heater but they would try their best to deny. Otherwise it's decent enough for price. We paid 1600 for double deluxe.

Good location, friendly staff. Resturant not available but you can find many once you step out of thr hotel. Rooms not spacious. Had cigarate smell coming when we checked into the room. Also could find cigarette ash tray lyign in thr room.

On my way to Auli trip, I did an overnight stay in Joshimath. My bookings with MMT were already done for almost the entire trip based on few research on my own. Considering the amount of time I am going to spend on a location, I booked a Double Delux Bed (Room Only) at Brahma Kamal hotel in Joshimath on 29th January after comparing cost, reviews, reviewers photos. Hotel review: I reached at 6.15pm and checked in and checked out bect day at 10am. The hotel looks very small from outside as if its just a door with gate and nothing else. But when I entered in, there were many rooms and ground and 1st floor and mine was good spacious room. Don't judge the book by its cover. Toilets are attached with geyser facility for hot water for shower and at wash basin. Room service has heater facility with extra price of 200/- per day which is worth if the temperature is between 2 and -2. The window view is great. Check out the pictures. The care taker was very kind throughout and gave hot water for drinking upon request. Nearby: Within seconds of walking range outside you get working ATMs, General Store, Medical Store, Restaurants, Ropeway to Auli, Vehicles for Auli, Shared vehicles for Haridwar/Dehradun, Chamoli etc. These are basic requirements which one would require if any. Food: Restaurants outside opens at 6am, breakfast starts at 8am, closes at 9pm (off season). Mostly veg.but good food snacks and meals. Aloo parathas costs 30/- and better than "regular" Mumbai/Pune ones. My expenditures at nearby restaurant : Breakfast for two : 1 paratha, 1 plate bhaji, two tea : Total 50/- Dinner for three : two puri chole (4 puris each) , 4 parathas, 3 tea : Total : 270/-
