Hotel Holiston

Visited during the peak Diwali period, so my assessment is based on that experience. I paid over 10k for a single 4-bedded room, equipped with one double bed and two single beds. The beds were comfortable, and I enjoyed a good night's sleep after a long drive from Ahmedabad. The hotel offers open parking outside the premises, which was convenient. However, my review is centered on the 10k expenditure for one night, setting the expectations accordingly. This is where the hotel fell short. The kitchen was non-functional, and for a 10K room, they didn't even provide a kettle for making tea/coffee in the room. To make matters worse, they failed to provide tea when requested through room service, a service they had committed to during check-in. This was disappointing, as despite the property being nice, the service was a significant letdown. For lunch/dinner/snacks etc we had to rely for Zomato/Swiggy for online delivery from nearby restaurants, the quality of which were hit or miss. Tip: Book the hotel, only if you get the 4 bedded room for 2.5-3.5k range... anything more is a robbery... as apart from the room the hotel has nothing else to offer to justify the high price.

The rooms are great, the service is good. But I felt like the manager is very greedy and has a mentality to cheat the customers. I have requested to extend my stay for 5 hours as my train was in the night. After asking the manager he was demanding 8000 rs and later he asked for 4000 rs for half a day. I asked for 2000 but he didn't agree and I searched for another hotel. Later at the time of check out he offered me 2000 rs to extend but I already booked another hotel in 1200 rs. He was just checking if we can give what he demanded as I was there with my family and having an 8 month old baby. Please change your mentality for cheating customers. Rest everything is fine.
