Family room was big and neat. But double was little small. Restroom was clean. Its nearby to the lake. Food was really worth. Hospitality to the best. We checked in on Pongal. They welcomed us by serving Pongal even before we booked the hotel. We have stayed in many hotel and tasted many foods but this was really good and the way they took care was we can feel we are at home.

Positives - budget friendly, excellent food, location (at the heart of the Kodaikanal town), huge parking facility. Negatives: 1) The property looks little old and the rooms definitely need some renovation. It wasn't as clean as you would expect especially the bathroom 2) Service wasn't satisfactory. I asked them to clean my room on the second day of my stay but it wasn't acted upon. Though the hotel has lot of positives, I am only able to give 3 stars because of this experience.

Really a great stay wen I went with my family for a vacation.. rooms are clean. Spacious. They responded n good way. Food s nice and on time. Great stay with family

Looking at the photos on the website it's splendid... But when i checked in it's just an old property which is not properly maintained... The curtains were not washed... They charge for room heaters on day basi and night basis... Not so great views for deluxe and heritage deluxe rooms... Need to order one hour in advance at the restaurant without much of a choice... Overall, it was an average stay at Hotel Jai...
