Hotel Rajpur Heights

Came at tea time on Lohri. Sat outside- beautiful view. As the sun set and it got colder the attendants lighted a bonfire for us and played some great music. Had an unforgettable time! Thanks Rajpur Heights for making us feel so welcome.

I don't usually rate hotels but this one was pathetic. The one star is because of the decent service by the staff despite the poor infrastructure. This is no way a 3 star. More like a budget hotel. Even then some things as mentioned below are unacceptable. 1) As soon as you enter the hotel you are greeted by a very bad smell. It stinks in the corridor and in the room like a sewer. We had to keep the windows open at night even in January to be able to sleep. 2) The rooms are unkept and dirty. I had to ask for a change of the dirty/soiled bedsheets. The floor was visibly dirty and there was a cockroach in the room. 3) We paid for breakfast but were told there's no buffet as there were less guests. They said I could ask my money back. Thankfully they served us ala carte at the same cost. 4) The dining area was dirty and filth visible in places as seen in pics (under the coffee machine, the coffee machine itself was filthy - see the nozzle, and next to the trash bin). When I told the staff to clean it, they dismissed it saying it's not their job and the janitor will do it later. Infact I saw them throwing trash openly outside the bin. The waiter serving us took a smoke break before coming back to finish off his dining area duties and we could see him from where we were sitting. The juicer jar in which they made milkshake was being washed in the hand wash sink for guests that itself was filthy. Didn't see any dishwash detergent there so maybe they used the handwash liquid soap for it. The spoon in my plate was filthy with dirty food particles still on it (see pic). The staff then argued amongst themselves about who's job it is to give clean spoons. 5) The toilet spray did not work properly. Toilets were basic (no dental/shaving kits, no body wash, etc) with just the old bar soap. The shower glass door was loose and about to fall off. When I told the reception about the poor stay experience while checking out, they did not even bother to listen or ask any questions. Felt like they were used to such complaints and don't care. Only thing good is the view. That's what convinced me into booking this hotel. But not worth seeing all the other issues. There are better properties available at the same cost. Pls stay away. I booked this for my group and I was ashamed throughout for that. If anyone is rating this property anything more than 1 star, it's because they've never stayed at good hotels and for them this is probably the best. See pics in my review on TripAdvisor
