Hotel Rio Benares

The room we were provided almost felt like a small storage room and it had a filthy smell throughout. The bathroom was terrible, the commode flush needed a mighty effort to press, the house help said you just have to push harder, and the bathroom had not floor mat and towels were not fully dried. The entire night the room stank. There was no hot water at 7 am, but aroun 11 the sink water only had very hot water, which made it hard to wash hands/freshen up. All the cleaning stuff is always in the walking space, you will keep bumping into it. You have to walk a bit to get to main toad to get auto/taxis. When we checked out we had 4 medium sized bags to carry, none of the help offered to help to the taxi. For the price they charge it was a really terrible experience

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Rio Benaras in Buddha Vihar Colony, Cantonment, UP, and it was an overall delightful experience. The hotel's proximity to the Kashi Temple, just 7km away, makes it a convenient choice for pilgrims and tourists alike. One of the standout features of this hotel is its beautiful and well-maintained restaurant. The food served here was not only delicious but also served with a smile by the friendly staff, enhancing the dining experience. The rooms and washrooms were neat and clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay. However, I did find the room rent to be a tad overpriced, considering the competition in the area. It would be great if they could reconsider their pricing to make it more budget-friendly. My only suggestion for improvement would be to maintain a cleaner front and back area of the hotel. First impressions matter, and a clean and welcoming exterior can enhance the overall experience for guests. Transportation to the Kashi Temple from the hotel was convenient, with auto-rickshaws charging between 150-250 rupees. While the pricing varied, it was relatively reasonable given the distance. In conclusion, Hotel Rio Benaras is a decent choice for a stay in the holy city of Varanasi. With its great restaurant, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms, it offers a pleasant stay. With a little adjustment in pricing and maintaining the hotel's surroundings, it has the potential to become an even better option for travelers.
