This hotel has seriously lost its way. It may have been good 35 years ago, but years of under-investment and management neglect has left it in a very sad state. I booked a superior room for 3 nights, but had to ask to move as it was dirty and the bedsheets were badly torn. The second room, while slightly cleaner had very old and worn furniture, plus serious plumbing problems. The water to the toilet had to be turned off to stop the constant flow. We had to use the bucket to flush. Same too for the sink taps. We were promised hot water in the morning, but this did not materialise. The common areas of the hotel are dusty and unhygienic with debris from rooms left in stairwells and corridors. I am an international adventure traveller who is used to all sorts of places and I can put up with a lot. The neglect of the building and apathy from the staff were on a totally different level. We had to leave after one night and move to a lovely place down the road for half the price for our remaining two nights in Ooty. We applied for a refund through MMT for the unused two nights, but the management refused our request. I hope this review deters others from making the same mistake as us in booking this hotel.

What I like here is car parking and room size is wide. What I don't like is, room is not clean and blankets are not washed quite some weeks. Beds are smelling very bad. Luckily we have taken some blankets which saved us. Bathroom is not clean and water was leaking whole night. Room service is not good as we call the service person to clean the room multiple time, it's not taken care.

I am continuously following up with hotel for providing the invoice, but no one is responding. While making payment, they have not provided the invoice and informed that invoice will be shared on mail, however,they have not provided yet.

The receptionist person and the owner are not polite (kind of rude). Hospitality doesn't exist here. They would ask you if you need cabs (which is costlier than market) and breakfast (which is chargeable). Apart from that they are no where bothered about your stay. The bathrooms hand spray was leaking. Rooms interiors are good but they are not cleaned and maintained properly. Rooms had mosquitoes and flies and no all out or mosquitoes repellent was provided. Stay here only if you are coming as a bachelor so that you don't complain a lot.
