I'd say this is not even an average hotel. You're paying the same price as other nice hotels on the Mall Road and not even worth it. The view from our room was nice. That was the only thing that was good. Slow service. There were insects all over the room on the second day of our stay. No room service.The items on their menu are not available. Only 2-3 choices for breakfast. Nobody can eat the same breakfast for 3 days in a row. It was raining almost all the time of our stay. Asked them for iron to dry the clothes. It took them hours to send iron. And that too they took it back in an hour itself. Too far from the Mall Road. You'll have to walk almost 2 km from the Mall as vehicles are restricted on that road.

We unfortunately had to make last minute reservations at this hotel because there weren’t any good options left and this was a terrible experience! Booked for 2 days, however as soon as we entered we wanted to checkout. The room was quite small and seemed nasty, bedsheets weren’t clean, the floor was wet and unclean, no toiletries in the washroom not even soap or hand wash. We were given a room downstairs so it was the backside with horrible view. The curtains were smaller than the window and caused a struggle to cover up. Breakfast took more than an hour to be served and there were only 2-3 options. Second day we left without having breakfast. Staff wasn’t helpful or hospitable either. Overall bad experience, would not recommend.

Location is far from mall road and you'll have to walk a lot. Rooms were okay but bathrooms are very bad. No proper room service, no towel, soap or even mineral water. Staff is very rude for no reason. Breakfast is pathetic- no taste at all. I would not suggest this hotel to any one because of their service mainly.

We stayed there only for a night and in a very short span of time, our experience was horrible. All the staffs including receptionists were very bad in behaviour. Rooms were unhygienic. No proper room service was given. Our car was stopped at hotel Marina, from there we had to walk and climb down the stairs for about half kilometre which is a lot when you are on hills. The staff asked for charges for carrying our luggage. Not at all recommended.

My recent stay at the Windsor Hotel in Shimla was nothing short of a disappointment. The staff's behavior was consistently rude and unhelpful, making my experience quite unpleasant. Moreover, the breakfast provided was of subpar quality and lacked variety, falling far below my expectations. Adding to my frustration, the rooms were a far cry from what was portrayed on the hotel's website, leaving me feeling misled. If you value courteous service, a satisfactory breakfast, and accurate room descriptions, I strongly advise against choosing the Windsor Hotel for your stay in Shimla. Save yourself the regret and opt for a better alternative.
