Rewrite this review due to shut down of wifi which happens every 10 or 15 minutes or 30 if I got lucky. The photo images do not pick up the shabby and dirty condition of the room. Yes the ceiling painting is nice but I would not want to touch anything, even towels. My room does not have a shower room, but a 3' x 2' area inside the toilet with a shower head which made me unable to take shower, otherwise the toilet would be wet! No service, though some staff are nice, others are not. Traffic noise outside is no match to noise in the hallway which carried on until late night! Worst stay so far. I had late lunch at the rooftop restaurant. No ambience but noise since the doors were open. I had had too much Indian food so I ordered Thai green curry vegetables. Sorry only a handful of veggies with lots of green curry soup which did not taste Thai at all. Way over priced considering the extreme small quantity. Follow up review: when i checked out after 2-night stay, the lady at the front desk who was there on my first day arrival challenged me why I wrote a bad review. She unapologetically said she was disappointed. Yes the second day service had improved, not sure if it was due to my review. I was in fact quite impressed with the breakfast service, but this lady blew it by wanting me in a very unpleasant tone to write a better review. I bet she will read this review again. A piece of advice to her: hotel guests are not your subordinates. A rude and arrogant front desk personnel will not only ruin the reputation of the hotel but maybe the overall impression of the city.

Very good experience at this hotel. The staff and front desk are spot on and very prompt in taking care of our queries. Location is superb as it’s on the main road itself and City Palace can be walking distance, plus transport is readily available as you step out of the hotel. Buffet breakfast was quite tasty and arrangement for kids food was also done. They stand true to being a heritage boutique hotel as the interiors and decor of the rooms suggest, we stayed in the superior rooms and it was very nice. I would definitely return when in Udaipur.

I will mention the pros and cons..Pros-The place is comfortable, clean and heritage 'like' . The interiors are very good, the doors, handle, ceiling, the bed..everything has a rajasthani royal touch..Service was good. Cons- The location is not peaceful(just on the road), there is no lawn, swimming pool or any other chilling out activities offered by the hotel. The rooms are very decorated but awfully small..not worth the price they charge..

Stayed for two days in this hotel, feels like a heritage room but The Hotel pictures on the Website or any other web page are deceiving. The Rooms are obviously the same but the size varies and small, breakfast is good.The property doesn't have a fancy entrance and parking but the interior will certainly compensate it with it's colorful rooms and elegant interiors. The feel of the hotel is premium. They have a three eating outlets on the rooftop and they serve delicious food. The staff is well trained well behaved. Miss Hansa at the reception was very helpful.

A gem hidden close by to the famous City Palace and Lake Pichola. Had a really pleasant stay at the property. The rooms are nice, clean and cozy with a very authentic Rajasthani feel to it. The staff is top notch, helped us at every step. We were really happy with their hospitality. The roof top restaurant is also quite good. All in all had an amazing stay and would love to return here.
