We stayed there for a couple of days and it was a fine experience. It is a must place for birders. They have a good hide out beside a water hole. A number of birds and animals drink water and have bath and one can observe and take beautiful pictures from the hideout. The cottages are beautifully furnished and decorated in a quaint way. The service was very nice too. They provide good guide for birdwatching too. The only downside is the tariff, which is a bit on the higher side.

I had a great time. Special mention for Mr Tejpal and Jagjeevan who made our stay extremely comfortable and informative. Pro Tip: Book Cheers Cottage if you don't want to climb many stairs. Pro Tip 2: Only take the regular route. If it's blocked due to any reason postpone your travel as the alternate route (Zoo Road) is very narrow and cars tend to get stuck. Unless you have a smallish car like an Alto which would pass easily. I took my Scorpio and while I managed without a scratch I wouldn't recommend the route to anyone.

An amazing place for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The staff is extremely nice, attentive and helpful. The huts are wonderful and romantic. The food is excellent and freshly prepared for each meal. Tea, coffee, lassi... are available at any time and one can enjoy drinking them while sitting in the beautiful garden, watching birds, monkeys and other wildlife. The birdwatching guides are well trained, and our guide Gajvir was polite and a very good birdwatcher. We enjoyed every minute and would definitely come back.

I would like to thank very much Asian Adventures and especially Iqbal Ahmad for organising our family bird photography trip to Pangot in Uttarakhand in December 2022. In Pangot we spent great two weeks in Jungle Lore Birding Lodge. The weather was very nice and the food and service very good. We have seen and photographed a lot of beautiful birds around the lodge and in the surrounding areas. Asian Adventures gave us a very good bird guide Mahesh who was able to find even the most difficult birds and a very good driver Pawan who drove exceptionally well in this difficult mountain terrain. Tejpal as well as the other service man in Jungle Lore Birding Lodge cared about us as for the members of their own family. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Once again thank you very much to all of you. For us it was an unforgettable experience.

What you Seek , is Seeking you.. This trip was undertaken with an intent to do something special for our dog ( winter). One can imagine that not many places can create a welcome and safe environment for your pet. Jungle Lore , Birding Lodge @ pangot close to Nainital was just the place that left our whole family wanting more. It’s a calm , beautiful and open place with all comforts and amazing staff. I found that the food , attention to detail , loving care and overall hospitality was just unbelievably good. Our son and dog could experience sitting in the clouds living actual rain with tons of greenery and overhanging mountains. Particularly our walks and treks in and around were just gorgeous. With very little traffic ( humans included) you could feel an inner calm like no other while walking these woods. If you are keen to wake up to amazing sounds of birds chirping , winds guzzling and a sweet cold Gush of wind on ur face then look no further. Lastly the whole team at this retreat has worked dedicatedly to ensure you feel warmth , love and joy. You are encouraged to move and walk , watch and play and loose urself to the environment which is breathtaking and just needs you to pause and reset. Happy Travels Winter , Nikko, Sukriti & Jeevan.
