Mahika By The Dump - Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, one of the worst hotels in my life. The room was shoddy, the sheets were dirty, the toilet jet didn't work, the commode was broken. I pity the owner who doesn't take good care of this hotel at all. It could have been a below average hotel if the owner and the manager had shown some interest. But this is just a money making machine for the owner who spends guests' hard-earned money to treat his wife/girlfriend to fancy cocktails (as seen in his WhatsApp dp). AND PLZ DON'T FALL FOR THE PROPERTY NAME. THERE IS NO RIVER BY THE SIDE OF THIS RATHOLE. THERE IS ONLY A DIRTY CANAL THAT PRODUCES MOSQUITOES. Seriously, do yourself a favour, pay a few extra bucks and get yourself at least a decent hotel that is dignified enough for a night's stay.

Very worst experience with this hotel. We drove from Kolkata and paid 1600 for 2 rooms and when we reach at 11:30pm, then we got to know that they won't give check in this hotel, they'll provide us the checkin in 10km far another hotel named ushashree. When I called the owner then he didn't picked my call, but when I called him from his caretaker's phone no. Then he picked up in a single ring. When I asked him to return my money, he didn't even return my money and started yelling at me and cut the call. Then at 1AM I need to take help from Siliguri police, they helped us to get the money back from these fraudsters. Please guys beaware.

The geyser was not working properly. That's one problem. Another problem is we saw 5 cockroaches altogether in both of our rooms. Otherwise it is an ok-ok resort. Service was ok-ok too. Just that the guy who was there didn't speak clear Hindi. Noyto emni te thik thak e achhe. Recommend not visiting for long stays,I.e., don't stay more 3 days.
