Hey guys, this is a review about a club cum hotel in DB city of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. I was there recently and had a very bad experience. On hotel booking sites, you will get to see very interesting amenities available in the hotel but the reality is different. Actually it’s a club inside residential society known as DB city, which is 2-3 km from city centre, gwalior and railway station. The infrastructure of the building was nice. But it was a club for the society people only which is usually rented out for commercial purpose. The reception was good. We were well received by the manager. But main problem started when we asked for amenities. We got to know that those amenities were for only the club members and if we want to use then we have to pay charges for that on hourly basis. Although by complaining to the hotel booking site, we got the amenities free for the day but that didn’t get well with the club manager and staff. We were in the snooker room for an hour but the air conditioner was not switched on despite asking for several times. In the morning, we got very limited breakfast, literally very limited, although the breakfast was complimentary and that too not very well served. At that time the manager was off the shift. We already posted a review previous night on the booking site. We complained about it and ordered more because at that time we were unable to go outside. So when manager came to know about it, the breakfast we ordered was served with cautions. We enquired the same with manager, then she informed that they read the review and rectified whatever they could. So to sum up, i would say that the staff was well behaved but they were not ready for renting out the club for commercial purpose to let travellers stay there. Either they should make it a full fledged hotel Or they should completely stop doing it.

It's around 5-7 kms from main City centre. It's a club House of DB City, there are seven room in it spacious, cozy and Good. The service is good and the staff is good too. Sometimes the room service guy lags and forgets the order but rest is ok. The facilities like Swimming pool, billiards and pool table, gym are not free but all are chargeable. The locality is safe and a huge property where you can take strolls in the evening and early morning.

Situated inside the campus of dB city..very secure and safe..the rooms and fixtures are brand new and very likeable.. although we did not get hot water as their pump was out of order.. A problem for us though was that there is a gym downstairs without any rubber matting on it..and hence from early morning you can hear the dumbbells and weights being dropped on the floor and as well as one can hear loud music blaring.. except for that, it is quite good and is exceptionally clean and well maintained..

The worst experience I ever had. First of all it’s a club inside a residential society. It is not a hotel. It only has five rooms and hardly occupied by visitors so you will find yourself alone. Now coming about my experience. All the amenities, as offered in the Goibibo app like indoor swimming pool, billiards room, gym, outdoor activities, kids playing area along many others, are chargeable although they are offered on the site. When we asked the reception for the same, she replied that we will take up matter with goibibo but won’t offer these services. So we complained to Goibibo about the same and then we were allowed to use the amenities but indoor swimming pool was still inaccessible. I couldn’t even cancelled the booking as it was non refundable. In the evening we were allowed to use snooker room but the ac was not switched on despite asking for several times. The ac of room is not cooling enough and in the name of staff they only have one guard, one helper and one lady on the reception. Now we have to adjust for the night and check out as soon as we can in the morning. Do not book this hotel for stay
