I wanted to surprise my wife on our honeymoon and I made a right choice. They surprise us with their decorations on the first day. Our stay was all comfortable and relaxing due to beach facing view of the hotel. And special thanks to chef of this hotel to give us the wonderful taste of the lunch and dinner. Overall it was a very wonderful experience. Wish to pay a visit soon!!!

This is not at all a luxury stay hotel. The way to reach the location is very bad. There is no proper parking for vehicles. You have to park in open, though they have a guard there. There is no view from any room. Balcony is like not cleaned for long time. The fan blades were all dirty like some cheap motel. AC not functioning properly, TV not working. Moreover, there plumbing system was out of order. Boiling hot water was coming from all the taps, even the flush faucet. Even after complaining for all this 3-4 times, no one came to check. Later after scolding the reception person, they came up with a bucket of cold water to mix with hot as a solution. Much later they identified the issue. No service, they dont listen to your requests. Food in restaurant is just okeyish. In same or even lesser prices, much better hotels are available in this area

Visited this property just 2 days ago. The location is one of the best in Baga area. It’s just a stone throw away from the beach, the staff is courteous and are always ready to held. Now I stayed in their club room and I’ve got to say it’s one of the biggest hotel rooms and it has all the modern amenities including your own personal balcony. They even have their own sunbeds that u can use free of cost for as long as you want. Food is decent however I only had breakfast there so no more comments on that. The only con is the approach to the property. It’s a narrow road and a little conjusted. So people with their own vehicles might find it difficult. The other one being they have a very small space for parking. Otherwise just close ur eyes and book this property for an amazing Goan holiday.

This was my second stay at Shining sands in Oct 2023. The previous one was in May 2019. I booked it again because of the nice experience I had first time. In last 3-4 years it changed from a nice place to badly managed and maintained place. Their beachside restaurant changed into a small 3 table place. Their pool changed into a place for hotel staff to watch TV. Service was still okay. But everything else has become bad, rooms are old, AC need repair. Weird kind of people staying in the hotel. Please avoid at all costs
