We had an amazing experience at Sur La Mer in Goa. The service was great, the food was delicious, and engaging conversations added a special touch to our stay. The hosts were incredibly welcoming. While slightly on the expensive side, the overall quality and atmosphere made it well worth the cost. Highly recommend for a luxurious and memorable getaway.

My stay at Sur La Mer hotel left an unforgettable impression on me. Although the sea wasn't directly next to the hotel, its influence on the atmosphere was palpable. The hotel amazed me with its luxury and coziness. The room I occupied was beautifully decorated and created a sense of tranquility. Through the windows, magnificent views of the surrounding nature opened up, and I savored every moment, creating the illusion that the sea was just nearby. Sur La Mer restaurant exceeded my expectations. The exquisite dishes prepared from fresh local ingredients surprised me with their taste and creative approach. The food is nice and staff are friendly. Apart from that everything else is just downhill for this place... 1. Hotel is dilapidated and feels neglected, not a place for a family holiday 2. Every evening the owner sets up a bar and plays loud music for his friends, which is just an annoyance fir the actual, paying guests 3. Both nights that we stayed they set-off fireworks outside the room, without any warning or explanation. There wasn't any festival or occasion and we were trying to make a baby sleep... Completely ridiculous 4. The owner stays on the property, is quite rude and not someone that you want to be interacting with. Overall recommend avoiding this place... It may have seen better days but there are many other options in Goa that are way better.

Would have liked to give a zero star rating. Completely over-priced for what it offers, owner becomes aggressive in no time when you approach him about it. Friendly staff, but too few employees - we couldn't figure out why they don't look for jobs elsewhere, with the owner drinking booze in the evenings, sleeping late in the mornings and letting them work their a.... off.
