The location for hotel is good however the road to hotel is not. The road is under construction and is very steep and dangerous. They do have taxi services from Bhimtal to hotel(to and fro) but the wait time is very high almost more than 20 minutes. The staff is good , food is good as well. The geysers in the rooms do not work properly. On both the days my parents who were senior citizens had to have bath with cold water. The issue was highlighted to management however the issue persisted though it was brought into the managers (divyansh’s) notice on the very same day of check in. If you are having a driver , hotel charges 200 rs for stay and 100 rs each for a meal of drivers ideally it is free in any 4 star 5 star properties. You will get many other properties and alike spots at similar costs. Not value for money during Christmas and year end where they are charging more than 20k not worth at all.

Our stay was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and providing and taking care of everything. The best part of this resort is food. Breakfast and dinner was awesome. We came here on 24 Dec so Christmas celebration was too good. We danced and enjoyed every bit of stay. Pankaj and Anand Sir helped us a lot and make our stay enjoyable.

I recently stayed at The Fern Hillside Resort and had a delightful experience. The food was delicious, the service was prompt, and the staff was exceptionally courteous. The views from the room balcony were breathtaking, offering a perfect blend of nature and tranquility. The only inconvenience was the road to the hotel being under repair, requiring a wait for a local taxi to transit between the hotel and parking. Despite this minor drawback, the overall stay was enjoyable, and I would highly recommend the resort for a peaceful retreat.

Not a very pleasant experience during our stay as we struggled for hot water which is a very basic necessity when you are in a cold place. The staff was unable to fix it even after multiple complaints and we had to bathe in a bucket full of hot water for our whole stay after paying so much for the stay. Also, most of the games in the activity area are in bad condition and need to be replaced/repaired. Said that the resort is situated at the top of the hill and the view from there is simply amazing.

Booked this property because of the Fern Brand Name, but we were totally disappointed by the quality of the resort, the rooms, the staff and taste of the food. Have stayed in a few Fern properties in the past, but this didn't come anywhere close to it. The staff is also not what you would expect at a place like Fern. The road to the resort is in a terrible condition, so unless you are a seasoned driver, please avoid this property. Agreeing to everything written about the hotwater situation here. The hot water runs out with in few minutes. The wifi is terrible as well and the room condition are extremely poor and please don't come expecting any kind of view here. The staff is extremely unprofessional for this industry. Not worth the price charged here.
