The Gulmohar Mansion is a good hotel in Jaipur. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean, but there are a few things that could be improved. The manager, Rajat, is very attentive and goes above and beyond to accommodate guests. However, the breakfast service is sometimes slow, and the hot water can be a bit unreliable. The hotel itself is a mix of traditional Rajasthani and modern amenities. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious, but the hotel could use a bit of an update. Overall, The Gulmohar Mansion is a decent option for a stay in Jaipur.However, there are a few things that could be improved to make it an even better experience.

Horrific damp rooms with mould coming through the walls, the blinds and toilet paper both had mould on them. It stank like a basement and it was impossible to sleep in there due the humidity penetrating your bones. The lady manager was extremely rude with an attitude and kept referring to her younger colleague as “the boy”. She kept two cats in the reception and the whole place reeked of cat and ammonia. It’s not worth it at all and it’s not as pictured or described on booking platforms. Avoid at all costs! Also there was no warm water!

Not great, but not horrendous. Pros - location, price, rooftop, spacious rooms and decent decor Cons - smell of perfume in lobby and cats, lack of bottled water, bad breakfast and terrible coffee, lack of hot water in the shower, the manager sleeping in reception and being the only one available to answer questions. In summary it was pretty quiet and needs some work and training of the staff to more western requirements - which sounds stuffy but we got this service in other hotels.

Rooms are extremely humid, walls are full of damp and the rooms stink of humidity. The beds were damp because of this and it felt really cold at night. The heaters that are provided are to cover the smell of humidity but once off it will stink again. Owner is rude, keeps two cats in the entrance and when incense isn’t burning it stinks of cat. Bathroom towels and toilet paper had mould due to humidity. Stay away!

The lady manager of this place is a miserable person. The worst hospitality ever, loses her temper instantaneously and starts being verbally abusive to the customer while keeping herself on the high ground. It's sad to see how mental instability has creeped into our society and this woman has fallen prey to it. All in all, she was the worst host ever witnessed, rude to the top of anyone's limits, denied the stay and didn't refund the money as well. I would even want to lodge a police complain against her for her unsolicited behaviour and defamation but then shouldn't trouble myself any further. The rest of you guys, make an informed choice.
