Terrible experience, easily the worst holiday i've ever had. When we reached after some difficulty (there are no road signs to guide you, neither is there a board at the main property), we found that there was no water. We could not use the toilets even & this caused immense distress to our 8 year old child. After a tiring 8 hr journey from Delhi, we had to wait nearly 1 hour to get our lunch which was charged at exorbitant prices for food that was just about average. There is no generator back up so whenever there is a power outage (there were several), there is just one princely invertor struggling to keep the entire property powered. In the night, to our dismay, we found that the curtains were all see through, so this is definitely not a property to go if you are travelling with ladies. Very shoddily maintained, I will never recommend this to anyone.

Not clean, bad service and staff misbehaved. The person who served us was drunk. Half of the things were not working. We got our food after 3 hrs and charged exorbitant prices.

The Hammock Bhimtal is an awesome place to de-stress yourself. Recently stayed with my friends who are sincere birders and sitting in The Hammock resort, we were able to shoot more then thirty five species of birds.A few photos i have uploaded, It is a home away from home.A must visit place for all the birders and nature lovers.
