We spent two nights on the houseboat during our week at Neleshwar Hermitage (see separate review). This was the right length of time to get the most from quietly cruising the backwaters in luxury, spotting different kingfishers, bee eaters, kites and many other birds in abundance. The pace is slow, the boat very comfortable offering a range of inside and outside deck spaces to sit or lounge. Captain Vinod and his crew looked after us wonderfully and made us very welcome. With three meals a day and afternoon tea you cannot go hungry and the catering was excellent throughout. There were also some interesting short excursions along the way, visiting a coir works and a temple, plus a regular sunset stop walking through to the wonderful miles of beach separated from the backwaters by the thinnest of strips of land. This trip is not to be missed. Thank you all for a really special 48 hours.

Nice boat, well maintained. Deepak is really nice, welcoming and helpful. tea was served with cookies and pakoras. The staff is very helpful, excellent service. I made sure to add the tip, please help those hardworking people.

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lotus House Boat in Kerala, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The houseboat itself is beautiful, with spacious rooms and all the amenities you could need for a relaxing stay. I particularly enjoyed spending time on the deck, taking in the stunning views of the backwaters. The food served on the houseboat was also top-notch, with a variety of traditional Kerala dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. The chef was happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences, which was much appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend Lotus House Boat for anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in Kerala. The combination of luxurious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and exceptional service make it a standout option for anyone traveling in the area."
