Nice and quaint place located on hill top offering 360 degree view of hills, awesome homely food, generous host and courteous staff. Provides a perfect setting to disconnect from the world. No network, No TV, just the nature. Spotted a few birds too. We had a 3 night stay and it was most refreshing. Would love to come back. The access to the place is through a hike of about 800 mtrs, so if you have elderly or very small children, plan accordingly..

Very nice place to stay...scenic views with natural beauty...rooms well furnished & staff also very cooperative...we really enjoyed our 2 days visit there last month & in future I'll visit there again

The rooms are small, cold and the heaters were no good. Service was way too slow and limited (they had just 1 bottle of coke for a 3 room booking and 2 nights stay). They have installed a bee hive right next to the room-this is very dangerous especially for kids. The hotel is located on the east side of a mountain, thereby receiving very limited sunlight through the day. Not goin back. And yeah wi-fi coverage sucked, and there is hardly any network coverage in the area.

Visited at the end of March 2022 with my parents. The Oaks trail eco-lodge is a set of quaint little rooms and cottages spread across the beautiful property of the lodge. The lodge, as the name suggests, is set on a trail, which goes on to the top of the mountain, and down from there. The lodge is set at the top of said mountain, with signs present at the start and at the middle of the trail, indicating its presence. Soon, as you continue on, you’ll find the lodge, once again being indicated by a sign. It’s a well set up place, with stone paths leading down to a well kept and ornate lounge/dining hall, with Kumaoni paintings drawn up by the owners themselves. Another path leads down to an area full of nature birds, plants, you name it, and tables and chairs set up to enjoy it all. While the innards of the rooms and cottages are compact, they’re nonetheless, well arranged and orderly, with basic amenities that you’d expect to come along. There’s a lot of space present in the lodge and you can spend your time bird watching, etc. But if you’re still bored, fret not, for the three pet dogs and a cat are here to save the day. The dogs are a lively bunch and they’ll certainly make your day, especially when try to feed them. They have a variety of food options, their menu consists of a variety of veg and non-veg options, including soups, drinks, etc. The owner is a really down to earth person, lover of earth, passionate about nature, has exquisite taste which reflects in the paintings and the décor present in the lounge area, a person you can really socialize with. All in all an experience you will remember for life time…
