Excellent experience Situated in a wonderful location Aesthetically built Good service There are so many photos which bring the Memories of Mysuru kings who ruled Ooty for many years ,who were instrumental in constructing this palace. Dishes served in the restaurant taste good.

We visited the palace for a cup of coffee. It's royal, no doubt. But was too quiet for my comfort. The service was also slow.

This is a poorly maintained facility. Do not be deceived by the branding, the royal palace heritage or the stars rating. This is unheated which makes it very uncomfortable in the winter. There is a small staff and they are somewhat uninspired and non-responsive. The showere was not functioning. Shower door was falling off. Paint peeling and holes in tiles and wall. This property should be taken off the market. The king is fleecing consumers.

Well it was a good place in terms of beauty and accessibility. Less maintained rooms like walls had black spots due to seepage. Interior wooden works broken. Bath tub was leaking. Moreover service need to be improved. Disinterested staff to give service. Buffet breakfast should have different options for different days but, it was same for continuous 2 days. To my surprise waiters deny to serve tea on table when asked in buffet. Inplace I was asked to go and pick from the place it is kept. Out of curtousy if someone is having food and ask for something, it should be served. Still rated 4 for the place.

An absolute waste of money. Except for the palace heritage, there is nothing to call it a hotel. The rooms are dirty. The fixtures are all fallen apart and not fixed. Loose electrical wiring in the room makes it dangerous. The bathroom walls and ceilings have moulds. The towels were probably used by the palace officials in the 19th century - I mean that is the condition of the towels. There is no proper heating provided in the rooms except for an antique looking tiny convection heater. There is zero maintenance of the property. The quality of the breakfast does not even match a single star restaurant. The food is damn expensive. The approach road is full of pits.
