Loved the location and hosts. Rooms were nice and cozy. The staff were so polite and helpful. They helped us with transport, kayaking booking, car rental, overtime stay, etc. Some points for improvement are the addition of a small cupboard or cabinet to keep items in the room and maintenance of drains and taps.

Affordable property ,rooms were clean and the staff were so friendly . Hot water and AC available.i will strongly recommend this . Food is completely home made and if you are from Andhra,Telangana and Karnataka I strongly recommend you to take home food which is provided by the staff ,no other hotels in Alleppey provide this tasty food . We ordered parata and chicken curry for dinner it is good . For breakfast we ordered idly and dosa .

Had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Location: roughly 1.5kms from Alleppey railway station. Location: Easily accessible. Rooms: Neat & aromatic. Staff/Manager: Very friendly & accommodative. Meals: Tasty and in good portion ( Had puttu-kadala and appam for breakfast at their roof top place) Also had decent photo session on the roof top in morning. Alleppey beach was at a walking distance from the property. Overall a very good experience .

First of all, I don’t give a 1 star rating to any business unless it is atrocious as this one! We booked this homestay through Agoda; it was “Pay at property”. We received an email shortly asking to pay Rs. 500 as advance through Paytm/ Gpay to confirm the booking. We paid the amount immediately through Paytm. When we came to the property with our luggage on the day of stay, the staff stopped us at the entrance and said “It’s FULL”. We said we have a confirmed booking through Agoda and also paid the advance. The staff didn’t even ask us to come inside and made us stand in hot sun for over half an hour and my husband got a heatstroke right after that. They called the owner who had no clue about any of the advance transactions and he was rude and said we did not call him to confirm the booking. We paid the amount as promised and still he will give the booking only to people who call his mobile directly or WhatsApp him requesting the booking. His excuse was he gets 100 transactions every day and he doesn’t care who sends him money. When we told him that it’s not mentioned anywhere in the email to call/ WhatsApp him, he shouted at us and said everyone staying there has called or messaged him. And we did not get any notice from the property that our booking is cancelled. We said that it is not fair that he has our money but still refuses to give room, he was so disrespectful and said “I don’t care, get out of my property!” And he disconnected the call. Though the staff refused to help initially, after that rude response from owner, they changed their mind. They refunded our money and called an auto for us that took us to another homestay. We have stayed in over hundred hotels, homestays and airbnbs across America and India, we have never seen someone so disrespectful and this is the worst experience ever!! If the owner is so mean and doesn’t know how to handle customers, he is totally unfit to be in the hospitality industry!!
