A perfect place to chill in the outskirts of puducherry. Service was good. Food has limited options. The only thing I didn't like on the day on check in someone from reception called up and said please cancel the booking as rooms aren't available. We have booked the room on 11th Jan. This was totally unprofessional. Though later we got the room.

I would like to start by saying thank you Wooden resort Ecr family for an amazing stay. We Stayed in this resort from 29th Dec till 1st Jan. Our priority to pick this resort was that it's a pet friendly resort with very good amenities, and in Google review Photos, we found it a good place to celebrate New years eve. I have been to many resorts and what makes a vacation, a good one, is by the staff in the resort.In these three days of my stay there I met one of the best staff. I liked it so much that I went forward to get their names so I could write this review . To start with Arundhathi she has an amazing and a positive attitude when it comes to customer service. She always has this happy, welcoming smiley face to cheer you up. Sudha and Vijaylakshmi are very humble house keepers. Jerald and Senkani took an extra mile to prepare authentic Tamil meals out of the menu for us, which we were craving as in pondy we couldn't find one. Dileep is a jolly guy and understands what customers need. Last but not the least Santhosh is a jack of all trades u need recommendations on restaurants, places to visit, he is the one to reach. All in all it was a very good experience. Thank you Wooden Resort family for keeping such good staff.

very friendly and courteous staffs. food was okish. high tech rooms spoiled by water leakage from roof, no wifi, no tv! no power to the washroom etc. located almost an hour away from pondy and with heavy rains in the evening it was a disaster!. this resort best to be booked only during the non rain season. also their direct booking prices are higher by atleast 50% compared to online booking portals. so would recommend going that route.

We were looking for getaway from Bangalore to Pondicherri but couldn't get any budget friendly stays there, we chanced upon Wooden ECR Sea Resort which is 25 kilometers away from Pondi Even though the resort is about 1 Kilometer from Sea, it the really nice, the rooms are spacious and clean, we were family of three with a child of 5 years. Breakfast is complimentary but you need to pay for Lunch and Dinner, we are vegetarians and we had delicious food in the resort.and the room.Our son enjoyed the swimming pool . The drive to the sea is also free and memorable, the only thing we noticed is the food takes long time to prepare. P.S : I twisted my ankle and I was helped by the wonderful staff, please note, the nearest medical clinic is 5 kilometers from the resort!!!

The resort was a small one with nice ambiance and clean rooms and its not in pondicherry but near some quite and clean beaches. This could be a good option if you wants to go for a staycation but the major disappointment is food, food is not at all good here and you don’t find any other options, even breakfast is limited there will be only 2-3 dishes with tea or coffee. On top of that they dont have enough staff for restaurant so they took so much time to serve, since we went with small kids so we had to depend on their restaurant only, which was definitely not a pleasant experience for us.
