1K Paris

I recently stayed here for my second time as I had a pleasant stay in 2019 and location was great. Sadly I had a different experience this time. The moody rude bright eye shadow girl at reception is just horrible with no personality, lies to your face and has no idea whatsoever about customer service skills. Lied to my face 3 times about having the broken shower head repaired, never sent anyone up to repair it. Then had the nerve to tell me it wasn’t broken it’s meant to be like that. Am I meant to lie on the bath floor and try to wash my hair under the bath tap? Paying all that money for a hotel room and not being able to shower properly is disgusting. . I had to go to a hair salon twice to have my hair washed. I had to hold the shower head with one hand whilst showering. Appalling service Eye shadow girl Then lied about having change at the front desk for 10€ when I asked her, until the manager told her off and magically coins were available. Three days before I was due to leave I had an urgent phone call from home that I had to go home as my mum was having an urgent operation. I went downstairs and told a young girl that I was to check out the next day two days early. She said she’d note it. Then next day when I checked out at 5pm I spoke with eye shadow lady and told her what happened. She said the other girl hadn’t written anything down. I told her as i was leaving at 5pm I understood that was considered a nights accommodation and that was fine but could I get a refund for the 2nd night. She said that’s fine and will let management know but as I booked through a travel agent they’ll have to request it. She said “I’ll organize it all, you have a safe trip home” I emailed my agent then and there. When I reached home I received an email from my agent saying that Hotel knows Nothing about me leaving early and a refund. Again MORE LIES! They took my money and never refunded me. Very inexperienced If it were my hotel I would never have her greeting my guests and would look after my guests better. I visit Paris twice a year but I will not be staying at 1k hotel and will not recommend any of my friends or family to stay there. The hotel desperately needs refreshing, everything looks old and dirty, the bathrooms, floors and walls. The hot water was constantly having issues swapping from hot to cold. Curtains didn’t close properly, never a dark room. My room was a great size and location was good but sadly that’s where it ends. IN REPLY TO YOUR UNTRUTH response . I booked twin beds with an early check in, I didn’t mention a bath or a shower lol and I was not offered any change of any room. Why would I book a room for 10 days without having a shower in my room lol and having to go to a hair salon to wash my hair. What a ridiculous lie. I have the same shower head at home, it’s meant to sit in the bracket. The bracket needed tightening that’s all, I showed her the photo. It’s meant to sit in its bracket to use as a shower then it pulls out to use as a hand held. Not one person came to check it, enough with your embarrassing stories. I have a photo of the broken shower head, I’m happy to email it to you? I did have a fabulous time in Paris, your hotel is a great location and a large room but that is it. The staff member lied many times, the coins were from a box with access by keys, no personal money. I’ve nothing to gain by lying whereas you do. I had no issue with any of the other staff members, they were all lovely. I’ve spoken with the travel agent and she did not say that at all, she must be “lying” also ha ha. So ridiculous accusing both of us You obviously can’t handle criticism and don’t care about your customers. I’ve nothing to gain by lying whereas you do. Ps. For anyone that is interested in the truth go to trip advisor you’ll see the photo of the broken shower head and read the other recent reviews about the condescending staff members treatment towards customers. Maybe you Tamara should have a read. We can’t all be “making up stories”
