What a great stay! Great modern rooms with fantastic views, cozy lobby perfect to meet with business partners or friends. Loved the Corrine restaurant on the other side (sister hotel connected to AC), and gorgeous rooftop on 20th floor for drinks and views. Friendly service from every single person including welcome and check in emails from a GM. Will be back!

With tickets to History Colorado and Comedy Works, we needed a convenient hotel for our mini vacation. There are a lot of hotels in this part of downtown Denver and we were thrilled with our choice of AC Hotels on 15th and California. The staff were delightful, particularly the bartender who dispensed lots of local information with our drinks. The room was stylish and efficient, with a great floor-to-ceiling view of California Street heading through the most vertical part of Denver. The blustery walk to Comedy Works and back was thankfully short. The subsequent walk from our room to the rooftop lounge was all of 10 seconds long. Even on a cold January night, we were perfectly comfortable thanks to the radiant heaters and warm blanket. And I have a new appreciation for the blue bear peeking into the Convention Center directly below. I rarely score a 10 when reviewing hotels; there is always something that could be improved. In this case, I can't think of a single thing.

For the price per night I was disappointed in several aspects of the hotel. We stayed at the AC Hotel during a winter freeze, and poor sealing around the window caused frost buildup in our room and prevented us from being able to warm up our room how we wanted. We were also disappointed to discover that despite the cost per night of the hotel, there was no on-site parking, pool, or a refrigerator in the room. The hotel is not clear on where to park upon check-in, and instead pushes guests to have their cars valeted, at a cost of about $53 a night. For our two night stay in Denver it cost an additional $107 for parking. While the location of the hotel is excellent, there are other hotels in the immediate vicinity that offer stays for the same price and include the on-site parking, pool, etc. I would not stay here again and would instead stay in a different hotel should I desire to stay in downtown Denver again.

I am writing this because of the general manager. He emailed me before I even checked in to see if I had requests for the room being an elite member of Marriott. I have never gotten this email from any Marriott manager before. I was quite impressed. I had asked him some questions and was very helpful and insightful on his answers. I have stayed all over the world with Marriott and this manager was the first to ever email me like this. I would highly recommend him and his team!
