Surely one of the world’s best museums. Even though it’s €10 entry, it is great value. I spent 4 hours here, it was so fascinating. You can learn a lot here. The objects are very well looked after and the space itself is quite beautiful. The staff are bullies though, a little bit. I think perhaps they know they are in a truly incredible place and get too excited about that. There is a bonus archaeological excavation under the building as part of the ticket. Don’t forget to take a photo of the Acropolis outside the restaurant on the second floor.

One visit to this extraordinary modern museum is not enough! Scan a QR code at the entrance and you will get detailed audio explanations on selected items. Don’t forget to bring your air pods! I love the terrace, it’s a kind of Magic, the Acropolis in front of your eyes.

This obvious stop on every visitor’s list is not only a treasure trove of classical art but is also host to temporary exhibitions that are usually overlooked. They are a smallish collection of ancient art from mostly European museums, and will take around one hour to enjoy. Be sure to book your tickets to skip the very long lines of the museum visitors. Also plan your visit to the cafe and restaurant on the second floor with great views of the Parthenon.

GREAT MUSEUM, MUST GO! Only €10 admission. You get to be up really close to the statues and artifacts. They have both original artifacts as well as reconstructed ones. The museum does an excellent job educating the public and giving the history of Athens, the Acropolis, and the Parthenon. There are a couple of short movies as well on the third floor that are excellently directed which give the history of the artifacts. There's also a great view of the Parthenon from the third floor. Since it's open late, until 10pm, you can go after you spend the whole day at the Acropolis. I had a beautiful nighttime view of the Acropolis up close and lit up. It was amazing!

This is a substantial museum. It is very easy to navigate and is entirely accessible for those with wheelchairs or mobility problems. There are lofts to assist with traversing the different levels. There are also many seats throughout the building for rest stops. All the staff were friendly and very helpful, one even offering me her seat so I could rest and then taking photos of me in front of an exhibit 'to prove you were here' lol. The building is beautiful and well laid out and a nice respite from the heat outside. Buying tickets at the museum is an easy experience too. I only wish I had more energy to spend more time there.
