We have stayed here many times before and had no problems, but the whole place has gone downhill. The first room had the smell of the previous occupants cooking, the lights fused almost immediately and the bath water wouldn’t drain. We were moved to another room but the keys wouldn’t work so we were moved to a third room. It’s better, but everything is dirty and tired. We had to clean out the washing machine drawer before we could use it because a previous occupant had put powder in the wrong section, the carpet is stained, the bathroom mirror looks like someone has smeared lipstick on it. The bedside telephone looks disgusting. The dishwasher in our room does not work. This place is falling apart. We would move hotel if we hadn’t prepaid. We have reported problems to reception and they have been polite enough. The prices are higher than ever. We won’t be staying here again.

It was a nice place but the sheer heat in the room made it very uncomfortable to sleep in. I mentioned it at reception and was told these were the regulations. But when it's so warm in a room that you can't sleep it doesn't make much sense. Not to mention the sheer waste of energy to keep these rooms warm especially when I'm sure everyone will try to sleep with the window open which by the way is quite pointless as well. So great on location but sadly miserable on sleep.

We had a family room and it was fantastic. This room includes in-room washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, king bed (double twin), living room and balcony. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is excellent. You have train, subway, and bus stops nearby. There is a grocery store and pharmacy on the other side of the building and plenty of food nearby. Their breakfast is a bit steep for what it is, you are better off walking over the the advacado club which is exceptional for the same cost or less per person. Although it’s a louder area, the exterior windows have superior soundproofing.

A very nice room, with a tub, shower, cloths washer & dryer, stove and a refrigerator (no freezer). It is very convenient to the Hachescher Markt transportation center and bus stops, but that means you get train noise if you open the windows. This is the perfect hotel if the focus of your visit will be Museum Island. The on-site restaurant was not open the entire time we were here.
