Afora Houses

For the price this place is great, I gave 5 stars overall with price in mind, a few notes however. You get your own private hot tub, we found ours to be a little cool to our liking. The location I give 3 stars maybe 2, is tough to get to by walking, you are cursed with a 15 minute stair ridden walk from the nearest bus station if you come via bus. If you rented a vehicle you will be fine but it is rather narrow. Many tour pickups will not come here, it is too narrow, so you will need to walk somewhere for pickup. The shower was a rain shower with a handle option, I've stayed in 7 hotels in Greece and all of them had terrible showers, this one was excellent. Toilet has bidet which I'm a big fan of especially when you can't flush paper. like the rest of Greece no flushing toilet paper. Room was clean and came with coffee maker bottle of wine, bottle of water, fridge, and microwave and toaster, also has AC, though al hotels here do. No breakfast here. No accessibility for stairs. There is not an employee present at all times but they were very responsive via WhatsApp. Staff helped us organize transport to port, which was 35 euro, about average for Santorini but was convenient as doing it yourself can be very risky.

We cannot thank Volua enough for her kindness and great hospitality! Our stay at Afora houses was wonderful, the room was beautiful and the private pool was great to relax in with a glass of wine, the complementary wine was a lovely surprise for our arrival. Would highly recommend if you enjoyed a quiet area with lots of privacy on your trip. We will definitely be staying again if we come back to Santorini! Highly recommend Afora houses, thank you Voula!
