Quiet place, spacious, tidy and clean rooms. Very close to Matera. Delightful and helpful owner and children, delicious food and excellent prices. We felt at home. Mr. Franco is happy to help and give advice for spending beautiful days and visiting nearby places. AND ABOVE ALL THEY WELCOMED OUR PUPPY WARMLY. Too bad there are only 5 stars!!

We had lunch with dear Mr. Francesco, the owner of the Terra dei Sassi facility... a very annoying, presumptuous and talkative person. A dilapidated place, time stopped in the 80s, not to mention the garden and the courtyard in front of the poorly maintained structure. The disoriented waiter... for every request he had to go and count the sausages and pork loin in the kitchen... When asked what was in the starter... his response was "an starter". Very long waiting times... with the owner's mockery boasting about his dishes. With a final surprise, the bill For me it's 0.

We stayed one night in this hotel. Spacious and comfortable room. Quietly located in the Matera countryside, 15 m by car from the center. Essential car. Welcoming and friendly staff. Minimalist breakfast: 1 croissant and 2 rusks. No hot water, impossible to shower. We reported this to the receptionist who simply ignored the problem.
