I recently had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful apartment during my vacation, and I can confidently say that it deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The apartment's location is nothing short of ideal for tourists. Situated in the heart of the city, it provided easy access to all the major attractions, restaurants, and shops. I could explore the vibrant local culture with ease, thanks to the central location. It's a true gem for travelers who want to experience the best a city has to offer. Upon entering the apartment, I was struck by its impeccable cleanliness and modern design. The interior was tastefully decorated, with a perfect blend of comfort and style. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the plush furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen. It truly felt like a home away from home. One of the standout features of this apartment is the breathtaking view from the balcony. Room and location were outstanding and truly unbeatable. The cleaner/porter was also fantastic - friendly and good at his job. The reason for the low review is that we had money taken from us while out for drinks. We paid 90 Euro extra for additional beds. We had placed 100 Euro on the kitchen counter so we wouldn’t forget to pay at the end of the trip. When we returned from drinks, there was 10 Euro on the counter. We assumed that the owner or his dad had come to get the money and left us change. Afterall, who would take money and leave the exact change? That was a little unexpected as they entered the apartment while we were gone. The owner then called us the day of checkout and asked for the 90 Euro. We explained the situation. He was blaming his staff who clearly didn’t take the money. But then again, who came in and took the money and left us change? In the end, we paid double as we didn’t want to see the staff get blamed. It was all so weird. Someone entered the apartment (even made my friend’s bed) and left us change? We still don’t know who took the money and gave us change but it tainted the amazing experience for us and it’s doubtful we’d return to this place without locking up all of our stuff in advance.

We recently had an excellent 2-night stay at the Ancient Agora Apartments. The location is incredible for sightseeing and walking around the downtown core. Super close to a convenient and easy to use metro station, and when you walk out your door you have an awesome view of the Acropolis. The rooms were clean and quaint, and we felt incredibly safe. The host we easy to communicate with for check-in and check-out procedure. I have seen a few reviews about noise- which is true that it can be a loud area to stay, but I don't feel that is a knock on the property at all. If you are staying downtown there is probably a decent amount of noise anywhere you go, so why not stay here? Would recommend.

Absolutely marvellous place to stay! Seemless check in, great comfort with all that you need in the apartment, the cleaning person was very polite and considerate. The owner is super prompt in addressing any concerns and we had a great time. This apartment is just 5 mins walk away from the Monastiraki square and the top place for food, drinks and shopping around the area and also very very near to the top historical places including the Acropolis.
