We stayed here for 6 days as it was the most affordable we could fine at the time. The staff was very friendly and helpful, helped us to receive a package and picked us up very very late after a delayed flight. The rooms are very budget though and I would recommend for backpackers and budget travellers only. Some were better than others though so ask to see them first. We were not impressed about the linens and used our sleeping bags although I'm sure they were probably fine. We also caught a few small bugs that we think came from the bathroom each night. The fans were good though and if the power was out they turned their generator on. Wifi was weak but was available most of the time. The roof garden was quite nice though. Location was great in tourist area of Thamel. The restaurant beside it called Hello Kitty was quite nice also and good beer prices. Overall it was OK for our needs and budget but its not for everyone.

We stayed here for almost 3 days. Service quality was pathetic, no staffs was there in hotel . Once we started staying there , gradually they started increase our tarrifs by adding some essential services which is there in every hotel alongwith your stay . Can't go outside of hotel after 11-12 at night , because they lock the main entrance, as no one was there at reception. Worst experience of my stay in this hotel , won't recommend any new tourist.

The guest house may be a small and quite old one but the most impressive thing about this guest house is that the manager Mr. Manjit Thapa is very very very helpful man indeed. He is very nice mannered, patience and willing to help by any possible means. He spent one whole hour to plan our tour in Nepal sitting with us in the midst of his busy schedule. He managed two domestic air tickets for us when I found that it was almost impossible to get as it was pick business season. He is really a gifted man in the hospitality business. Any one who is planning a budget tour can stay here without worrying about the cost.

1000 rupees for a big double room with attach bathroom and a small table with two chairs. Also a writing desk and bedside tables. No hot water. Fan is good enough. No need for AC. Wifi is not reliable. Rooftop is nice to sit but up lots of flights. We kept returning to this hotel. It's just right for us and we're on (a budget) honeymoon. Al-Madina restaurant next door has incredibly delicious tsndoori food. Spicy though.

My friends and me are staying at this very lovely Guesthouse since 36 years and are always very happy and feel just like home! The Mr. Manjit Thapa family and their helpers have helped us in so many issues and any time. Thank you so much! And, the guesthouse fortunately has no crack from the earthquake! We have stayed their in May and October 2016 and again again in 2017. We always feel very save and VERY HAPPY in family Thx u Mr. Manjit & Thapa family
