Horrible rooms, stay away! Air conditioning was unusable because it smells so bad when in use. I had to close the vents to the AC because even when not running it smelled horrible. I would be very worried about breathing in whatever mold is growing in there causing the smell. Wifi is advertised but never works. Constantly losing the connection and getting 'No internet' the rest of the time. I tried using my laptop to get caught up on work but could get nothing done because the connection was so unstable. Don't stay here if you actually need to use the wifi. One of the lamps by the bed was working fine then suddenly started strobing. Nothing would make it stop, so the lamp became unusable. The electrical outlets are in horrible condition. One outlet caused damage to my wall charger. The outlet in the bathroom is barely usuable. I had to hold the plug in place with one hand while using the other hand to use the hair dryer. Also when i pulled the plug out of the wall it was extremely hot. That seems very dangerous to me. Also has the hardest, most uncomfortable bed I have ever experienced. Caused shoulder and hip pain since there is absolutely no give in the mattress, it is hardly any better than sleeping on the floor. The mattress is much shorter than US standard. I am 5 feet 6 inches tall and my feet almost reach the bottom edge. If you are more than a few inches taller than that you will not fit in the mattress. The ONLY good things about this place is the location. It is extremely close to the Main Station which can take you anywhere.

The hotel seems to have a good location near Taipei Station, but in reality, it requires a considerable walk after entering the underground area, so be cautious. It is located inside a mixed-use building. The elevators take quite some time to arrive. The rooms are bright and nice, and the shower is functional. Complimentary bottled water is provided. However, there is no refrigerator in the room. There was a slight musty smell, and for some reason, the TV had no sound. If you're staying just for one night and only need a place to sleep, it can be tolerated. However, it's not suitable for long-term stays or as a base for sightseeing. I would recommend considering other hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful!

Very satisfied with this stay. I would definitely come back to this place. For me as a budget traveller, this is 1 of the value for money stay. Room is spacious compared to other hotels. Most importantly is clean and have a very hot water. Location is perfect and near to Taipei Main Station. Mcdonald's is just right below and Uniqlo is about 1 minute walk away. Bed is comfortable and aircond is cold. There is a self service laundry and cost TWD 50 for 30mons wash and a dryer for TWD 10 per 10 minutes. There is also a treadmill and a stationary bike for you to use in case you need to burn some calories off.

After having a terrible expirience at an airbnb I had to find a place to sleep that night. APause Inn kindly admitted me and my partner on the same night. The woman working the front desk was very kind, responsive, and helpful. The room was a bit small but made efficient use of the space. I only stayed one night here, but the service alone and warm welcome easily earns them a 5-star rating.

2023-02-27: the entrance to the building was not clearly marked. We had to circle around the block to find the entrance. The website should have stated that the building entrance is next to McDonald's. Not 24-hr check-in service (until 11pm only), so we had to arrange the key pickup with staff in advance. Friendly staff. A friend and I shared a Japanese-style room. It's small but enough for 2 people and our luggage (we travelled light so no suitcases). Room was clean but the piping was a bit noisy. The Japanese smart toilet was a bonus. We were surprised to see a gym room even in this small inn. Nice cafeteria for breakfast and tea break. Breakfast was provided by McDonald's downstairs. We paid NTD3074 per night after all the taxes and fees. It's not cheap for Taipei standard but the location is unbeatable. Several 24-hr restaurants around the block and 5-min walk to Taipei Station. We'll consider staying there again next time.
