My Fair Lady and the dangerous decibel levels We stayed at The Arthouse Hotel for one night in the 'My Fair Lady 'room and it really is a beautiful, quirky hotel. Its on one of the party streets so we expected the usual bustle and music noises, what we didn't expect was 'music' and bass which shook the whole room until 5am. Twice night reception/security asked the bar to turn the music, especially the bass down. I also went down and firstly asked the DJ if he could turn it down, the response 'I'm not allowed' ask the manager. I had to ask the manger twice because ironically he couldn't hear me. When I pointed this out he said he could and would tell the DJ. (As an aside the bar was empty) When I returned to the room it had been turned down a little but within 10 minutes it had gone up again. It actually continued to be turned up throughout the night. The beds were actually shaking (not in a good way). I attend a lot of festivals and D&B gigs and have only experienced this decibel level if standing directly by a speaker and not for long. It is uncomfortable so imagine being a captive audience. We did ask to move rooms but there were not available, the night reception said that he'd already looked before I asked as the noise level was unacceptable. The morning reception was very apologetic and seemed surprised. She said that the feedback form would be forwarded to management and someone would be in touch. As said before beautiful hotel, very clean, lovely staff but I cannot recommend because of the attached bar and their inconsiderate staff which greatly impacted our stay.

Just come back from an overnight stay here last night with my family, room was amazing, hot tub was perfect, Shaun on reception was super helpful and friendly. Overall lovely stay, we stayed in the Skyline Suite.

Room was okay. I liked the design and decorations however there was no kitchenette, no city view and the bath was incredibly small and unusable. When you were in the room you could hear everything that was happening in the rooms below and above. Staff were lovely and were very apologetic. It was hard to locate the hotel entrance as it was hidden down a separate street however the staff did help us to locate.

CONNED OUT OF £200 DEPOSIT- DO NOT STAY HERE We went to stay at this hotel to celebrate a friends birthday. On arrival, the hotel ask for a £200 deposit on top of the pre- paid room fee. This was a suspiciously ridiculous amount! Oddly, a few days after our stay, we received an email alleging that we had “broken a bed” and that the hotel was keeping the £200 deposit. We were a very small party and we had DEFINITELY NOT broken the bed. As previous reviews have suggested, we feel as though making false allegations and keeping deposits is a regular occurrence at this hotel. The hotel has also failed to respond to numerous emails which also demonstrates extremely poor customer services. STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE.
