Room was nice, but there just seems to be missing some polish, such as a fresh lick of paint on the bathroom door or rails that don't wobble. Staff at reception were efficient, that's for sure. Location is good for Southern Cross Station and trams. I booked during the Australian Open, so rooms were way too expensive for what you got, but, beggars can't be choosers.

What a horrible experience. The room was unclean, old, unkempt with a terrible smell made worse when the air con was turned on. Couch was so stained all over, we didn’t even want to sit on it. Disgusting lobby with terrible service, the ‘operations manager’ needs to reconsider her job. Rude to myself and also other guests. Location is horrible! Unsafe and not ideal for a family or anyone for that matter. I cannot stress enough do NOT stay at this ‘hotel’. Paying for a serviced apartment with a kitchen I would not even consider using due to its cleanliness. Saw white tiny bugs around the room. Ruined my time in Melbourne, please do not stay here.

This is my go-to place for Melbourne. Best value for money by far!!! Great location, rooms with balcony have nice views and the staff are very friendly and relaxed. The intercom in the rooms are a real winner, saving a lot of hassle with ordering food and the laundry facilities in the rooms are a great bonus. Will be back!!!

Friendly staff and superb location – close to both the train station and free tram services. The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities and appliances. A small suggestion for improvement would be to provide signage for the door, allowing guests to indicate whether they prefer cleaning services. Additionally, having one king bed instead of two queen beds pushed together would enhance the sleeping experience.

Disgusting. We arrived for our Melbourne stay, opened the door to be greeted by an overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke. The sink had dirty mugs and spoons in it. And some one had emptied and washed an ashtray in the sink!! Really, really disgusting. Gross. Worst room I've ever stayed in, and I've seen alot. The carpet in the hall ways was lifted, ripped, and had a stench like a wet dog and cat pee!! I don't usually complain. But I did this time. Only to be given a very weak sorry, by the manager. Not good enough. I definitely would NOT recommend this hotel. It should be a 1 star hotel.
