I stayed for 5 days and it was very good. the room was small,but clean. a bed,shower and a window with a view. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the location was perfect. right next to sacre ceur. and some nights supprisingly quiet ! but it is paris and you will hear the traffic rumbling by and people on the street. if you wanna go downtown : go to pigalle metro and 20 min later your right in the middel of it. if you wanna walk to notre dame then you walk down the whole way and it takes 30-40 min. the location of the hotel is safe. on pigalle there is lots of strippbars and sex clubs,but dont worrie, its still safe. it is a very popular part of the city and there is always people there. when I was walking around sacre ceur I found most what I needed, good food,locals shops,lots of good bars,pubs,resturants ect...I guess I was lucky ,I got the room for 5 days for 400euro. not a bad deal at all !

Top location! Metro and Montmartre right there. The stuff at the hotel was super friendly. The room was good and we enjoyed our stay a lot. we would gladly book again!

Hotel Avenir is what it is, it's a 2 star budget hotel and it's our favourite hotel in Paris. We've stayed in this hotel many times over the years as it suits our travel needs. It's an ideal location and an ideal base for exploring the many wonderous sights of Paris, nothing too flash but it's clean and comfortable, don't expect too much as previously mentioned, it is a budget hotel and if you're on a budget ( or even if your not) and not too fussed, it will do you fine. Fantastic and amazing views of the magnificent Sacre' Coeur, which is so close by, from the panoramic rooms and also one can view the Eiffel Tower from certain rooms. To start your exploration of Paris by the metro, Metro Anvers is a very convenient 50 metres from the hotel, also a short walk to the famous Montmartre and the many art galleries including Salvador Dali. Also however if you are walkers, many well known places (by using the google Map app on your mobile) are only a 15 to 20 min walk and also there are many great cafés and restaurants nearby. An interesting lovely 13 minute walk to the Moulin Rouge along the Boulevard de Rochencouart & Blv de Clichy via Blanche & Pigalle. The continental breakfasts are great. Staff were nice and so very helpful, friendly & obliging We were very satisfied and pleased with staying at this lovely old hotel. Fran & Ian.

The location is perfect, subway is located a minute away from the hotel, I was staying on the top flor and got the most wonderful city view to the church + a mini balcony (perfect for a romantic smoke/a morning coffee). The bathroom was renovated and looked clean. The room itself wasn't to big, but there was enough space for two. All in all it's a great place for a budget stay: not too expensive; close to the city centre (around10 minutes on a subway); there is a super market within 5minutes from the hotel (also on the other side of the street there was a gift shop); loads of restaurants, cafes and bars/pubs around the place and you can walk by foot to the famous Mullen Rouge.

Ahh... Where to start with this hotel. I booked it after I saw the reviews but I thought "Come on, it cant be THAT bad." Plot twist: it was worse. The room was small but we knew about this. It was top floor and had nice view, especially at night. The only good thing. We got in the room and it smelled horrible so we needed to open the windows. It was February. The windows had mold on them, from the inside!!! Took pictures, of course. The room was cold and when we told the receptionist about opening the heat he told us no and just gave us blankets. The room had two towels, and when we asked for another one, the receptionist told us that it was late (22:00 O' clock) and we had to wait for the cleaning lady in the morning. We "marked" our towels with lipstick to see if they would changed them and the next day when we came back to our room, the towels were dirty with MASCARA. I don't know what Kind of joke it was that. The shower was clogged so there was water all over the place. The breakfast was included but everyday we need to eat elsewhere, because it was consisted of 1 yogurt, 1 croissand, 1 bread with jelly, per person. The receptionists were RUDE, ironic and sarcastic. All three of them. The neighborhood was not very safe at night, also. The metro was in front of us but with only one line so we had to change many of them. These stuff are not about price, is about the quality of all the hotels. If I could give Avenir less than a star, be sure that I would. The only reason to stay there is that if your only alternative is the streets.
