Most expensive beer/food on the island. The beach is beautiful but you don't have to go to this resort to use this beach. Get your beer from the lady with the sari sari store next door for much less money.

Not going to say a lot abt the room I booked because it was exactly like the photos. The staff at reception gave too much info, the kind that was not needed yet, too much for someone who came from traveling to bear, slightly off putting. I would want to just be welcomed and shown to my room. The service was very very slow, ordered lunch and there was just one table occupied but it took an hour and some more for food to be served which was pricey for the quality and taste. The service water they provided tasted a bit weird. Ended up with stomach flu. Had to call the attention of server many times to ask for the wifi password/code. It was raining so had to eat breakfast there which also took an hour to be served. Again, expensive for the quality and taste. Not going to recommend, should’ve just stayed on the other side of the island.

We absolutely loved the service, food, and prices here at D'Avila's Horizon. They took such good care of my handicapped mother (purple lady!) from the moment we stepped off the boat from Daanbantayan. The pizza was absolutely phenomenal, we ordered it 3x while staying here! My mother has recently recovered from 2 types of stage 4 cancer and eats like a bird but here she was actually finishing her meals, which she never does back home. I'm a diver but was not permitted to dive since I had 3 teeth pulled the day before arriving here. They were concerned for my safety which I appreciated. They made up for it with a private snorkel tour to see a school of baby black-tip reef sharks. Also snorkeling Dakit Dakit Island was one of the best experiences of my life observing the diverse, healthy coral and fish population. That island was also inhabited by fruit bats! Our first night here was a Saturday and they had live music in the lounge area and were taking requests. I requested Taylor Swift and the man sang one of the best covers of 'Crazier' that I've ever heard which made for one of my most favorite vacation videos to date. The staff was so incredibly friendly and professional. The food service was VERY QUICK and tasted AMAZING. The ladies providing the food and beverage service were the kindest Filipinos we met on our trip. My mother loved engaging them in conversation while I went out snorkeling.
