Our stay has been great! The location is wonderful, the beach across is beautiful. It is a party hostel so prepare yourselves for that but they’ve got earplugs available so that’s great! The atmosphere is fun, the bathroom facilities are good and the staff is helpful, Ying was very friendly and informative!

Rooms are good , it's clean except for their toilets. I suggest you guys should bring your own towels because it has an extra fee. The location is great because you're actually at the center, surrounded by bars and just a few steps to the beach.

Don't stay here if you're not in Thailand to only party. The location was convenient but music goes on really late and bathrooms are decent. Most hostels I've been at have had tour info etc, this one only had a boat party. Wouldn't recommend if you're truly here to travel and discover thailand

This hostel’s issue is NOT the late-night music/partying — that’s exactly what you sign up for, and it’s great. The location and staff are also great. Here are a few of the negative signs: (1) Actual construction and/or the cleaning crew’s yelling wakes you up at 8am, AFTER the music until 3am (2) After 5pm, you’re forced to go to the bar to buy water (or any other drink) — where they then try to charge 60 baht per small water bottle. (3) They claim to give you 15% off if you extend your stay — however, upon inquiry, you’ll find that you have to show a positive review (which is fine! it’s smart business) AND the final price is STILL more expensive than what you find online (net net, doesn’t Balcony lose more money to the third parties??). All-in-all, where most hostels on our journey have managed to depict a guest-first mentality, there are too many policies outside the staff’s control that come across as opportunistic/predatory. There’s a ton of potential, but I wouldn’t recommend to close friends
