Bangsaen Heritage Hotel

Bang Saen Heritage Hotel Can't keep what it promises. We booked a so-called "Villa" through Agoda. An absolute wrong decision! Up to that point in Thailand, no one had ever offered us something so neglected for 1,700 baht per night! It was dirty in the "hut" and everything was broken. You can get something like this in Thailand for 350 baht a night! So please never book a “Villa” here!!! After a complaint, we were immediately offered a junior suite in house 3 at no extra charge. We had a look to the suite. It seemed clean and modern and we were looking forward to the move. Before the move we wanted to have dinner first. During the meal we got a call from the hotel saying that there was an unpleasant smell in the suite and that we were now getting a "pool room" in house 1. A suite that smells bad...which 4-star hotel has something like that!? I think someone from management intervened that the suite was too expensive as an apology to a "Farang" and his Thai wife. The so-called pool room was on the first floor! So just had a view at it the pool! 😂 It was a little better furnished, a little bigger but also shabby and unclean. The previous soap residue was still stuck everywhere in the shower. There was also an unpleasant smell of feces coming from the toilet bowl. The main extraction system in the toilets is loud, old and rattles along at 63 dB for 24 hours a day. This robbed you of your sleep at night! Sleeping was only possible with earplugs! The water in the pool was brownish and the pool also was used as a birdbath. There were 6 shabby, broken loungers for the whole hotel? Breakfast costs 299 baht per person per day and can only be described as average. It was rich but not good! Mass-produced goods like in every cheap tourist hotel. So completely overpriced for Thai standards. We have traveled a lot around the world and in Thailand, but this hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel! Until then there is still a lot of renovation work to be done! At least in house 1. On weekends the hotel is very crowded and noisy. Then the niveau in the breakfast room also drops down. The staff was rather bored, disinterested and not friendly. Hardly anyone spoke understandable English. They mostly stood around and played with their cell phones. The whole area is more reminiscent of a university campus than a hotel! In addition, the hotel is completely unsuitable for people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users because there is no elevator. The 1 star here on Google is only there because I have to give it. We absolutly can not recommend this hotel!!! There are better ones in the immediate vicinity and cheaper!

Villa is a renovated from the old one. It is overprice for its quality. Staffs are very nice. Food is just ok. There are other hotels that are better for cheaper price.
